Running LG 32"4k monitor
situation. first time i turned it on, monitor acknowledged, hit del, took me to bios etc. since I have not received my OS yet, I stepped away for a few days. went to turn it back on and the monitor says it does not detect a signal and goes into power save mode. Not sure what to do. I have checked all cables and all are connected properly as far as I can tell. Why did my monitor acknowledge the first time, bios and the whole bit, and won't even connect now. Very strange

Solution
Ack. Well considering it's actually turning on, but only the display isn't working, yeah. My suspicion is it's starting just fine but your change in resolution in bios did actually work as far as your gpu went, but your monitor may not support it. Or your monitor may support it but the video drivers couldn't yet. In either case, that could be why the two are not talking now. Which makes it an issue since you're trying to access bios again and can't without seeing anything.
Shut down your computer, and try taking out cmos battery for 10-20 seconds and then putting it back in. This will reset bios to default and hopefully fix whatever resolution issue may be happening.

Great question. I remember I was clicking around trying to change the resolution on the monitor, and couldent. Decided to wait until I loaded in windows. With that being said, I might of made a wrong turn you think?
