I've recently had my modem changed, since the last one broke, and the company swapped out the router and modem for a modem that does both. My desktop is connected through an ethernet cable, and worked just fine for a couple days.
Recently i haven't been able to connect on steam. Tried reinstaling it, and it won't even dowload the propper files. Then I noticed that origin has the same problem, but I can navigate just fine on google chrome. I've noticed a whole bunch of apps have the same problem, with a minority still working. I've tried out just about everything: clearing cache files, changing proxy configs, turned off firewall and checked for it's permissions, no antivirusses currently activated, internet firewall switched of, and ton of other things and nothing works(only my computer has this problem on the house).
I'm on the verge of restoring my computer from an old backup. Any suggestions?
