Hey all, I did some prior research to a peculiar switch on my RX 570 by XFX. There are two settings for it, the default one which is unlabeled, and then there is "SW1".

When I looked online, everyone said it was supposed to either be a profile switcher or to switch between BIOS in the event that it fails during a flash. I also followed the links to the XFX websites about the seperate profiles, but it was down.

Does anyone know which side is the performance mode and which side is the silent mode. My card has been getting awfully hot when playing modern titles, so I reckon that it could be the performance mode making the card do 100% loads all the time.

Hello,

Its a dual bios switch. If you flip it, before you power on the system, you can use the other bios. It should be identical to the other bios file, unless it was molested and the warranty voided. Don't flash your bios unless you are willing to forfeit your existing warranty.

HI! what happen if I flip the switch while my system is on? Does it damage my gpu in someway?

Never do that. Also, this thread is almost a year old at this point.
