Too Much PSU?

I'm building a new computer and according to PCPartPicker my system would need 264W of power (https://pcpartpicker.com/list/gkvY3F).

I'm considering the SeaSonic - FOCUS Plus Gold 750W PSU. My question is, is there any negative effect on having such a powerful PSU when my system just needs a little more than a third of that power?

I was considering the 550W version, but the 750W version is only $10 more. I don't plan on doing any over-clocking or SLI/Crossfire.

Thanks! :)

here's the badside:
it'll hurt your wallet more than lower wattage PSU XD [which is 10$ more as u stated]

the good side though:
u had more headroom for future upgrades
better efficiency curve [usually the best efficiency can be achieved when PSU are working at their 50% load]

PSU will only pull power as your system required, the rated wattage are there to give u info on how much the PSU can handle, so i don't think there's any other bad effect other than costing more :)
the PSU is good quality too and later on u can just add a new 1080 without having to concern about the PSU :) [like at all, the wattage is more than enough after all]

btw, the build seems solid enough, so i won't change anything :) although if u had more budget, u can...

Thanks bro. :)

I actually considered the 1060 6GB, but I'm just a casual gamer (I play 10 hours a week on average), so I think it's too much for me. I'm more into watching videos and listening to music. I may consider an upgrade later on when I have more free time to play games, so it's good to know the PSU won't need upgrading then.
