Hi. I have an Acer Aspire-- ES1-711P2UG--and I would like to replace the hdd with a ssd. Do I have to have a certain brand or specific size of the ssd? I would also like to know do I have to clone the old drive or can I use a system image? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you. sister5091

RARRAF, thank you for answering my post. I successfully installed the ssd and it is running ok. How do I optimize it? In the Acer ES1-711 there is no choice between IDE or ACHI mode. Thank you. sister5091

Thanks you for ansering my post. RARRAF, can you run a SSD and HDD on a laptop? I have an Acer ES1-711 laptop and I just replaced the HHD with a SSD I would like to use the HHD a storage area and install it in the DVD drive area. Can that be done? I am worried about overheating my system. Any assistance will be appreciated. sister5091.
