i7-4770k + H100i Cooler ~ Temperatures

I searched around on the forums for a bit but I can't seem to find a sufficient answer.

I have a i7-4770k (slight OC) and H100i cooler. I recently wiped off the old thermal paste and re-applied. My temps were high before this as well, but I just noticed now that during CSGO it sits around 70c. Right now while typing this it's idling at 45c (just closed CSGO about 5mins ago).

The H100i light is lit up and I feel some fans blowing, but how do I know if the actual water cooling aspect of it is working?

I've never missed with it before, but I feel like my temps should be a bit lower.

As I said, before even wiping off the old thermal paste it was still around this temperature.

Solution
the block on top of your CPU IS the pump. that goes to CPU_FAN, one fan on radiator should be on CPU-OPT the other on CHA_FAN (left blue arrow)
the other fan can be anywhere, once you have set up, run the Asus Suite and get it to do the thermal testing so I balances the fan speeds according to heat levels.

I'm not sure. How can I find this out?
I've only used MSI Afterburner to set a custom fan profile, but that's for my GPU.

Is there a way to check the fans and their speeds, and to monitor the pump speed?
It looks like again today while playing Watch Dogs it reached 75c and was sitting around 65-70c for majority of play.

I'm not seeing either CPU_FAN or CPU_OPT.

I think the CPU pump *might* be connected to the CPU_Fan header on the MOBO because there is a cable plugged into the CPU_Fan slot.
I also noticed that there is NOT anything connected to the CPU_OPT slot on the MOBO.
There are (two) fans in the front of the case and one in the back.

My MOBO is Asus Maximus Hero Vii

Well when I put my finger above the radiator at the top of the computer, it *feels* like air is being pushed out of it. However, I don't know how to confirm this.

How can I find where the fans are connected? I guess the obvious answer would be to just open the computer and find/feel the cables that are attached?

I'll follow up with this later today/tomorrow. I also noticed my CPU Temps fluctuate constantly. From like 64-72c, where as the GPU Temp is fairly solid. One second CPU is 62c next it's 70c then back to 64c, etc. weird spikes in temp?

Yeah I'm at 4.3ghz and 1.2v but I am idling around 45c.. It just seems a little high with this cooler.

Okay so following up:

I have one plugged into the CPU_Fan slot and another cable plugged into CHA_FAN 2.

okay then something is wrong in your fan installations

1. your cpu pump needs to be connected to cpu_fan (red arrow)
2. the fan(s) that cool down the radiator should be connected (at least one of them) to CPU-OPT (red arrow) and the other fans to any of the blue arrows shown below

Thank you for the detailed answer and image.
Okay - So I'm still confused on how do I know where my cpu pump is? I don't see an actual "pump". I see the radiator fans attached to the top of the pc, and then the two hoses connected to the cooling block that goes on top of the cpu.

The "Corsair" logo lights up on the cooling block so I know that it is at the very least on and the radiator fans at the top are spinning.

So what's not connected? I'm just lost when it comes to this stuff as it seems all fans are spinning...

-Just for a little information:

I have one fan in the back of the pc, the two fans on top (from the raditor h100i), and then I have two fans in the front of the case.
