Hey everybody,
I'm having an issue with GeForce. I went to open it today after not using it for awhile and it told me there was an update available. I went ahead and downloaded and attempted to update and it failed. After some research i found to try uninstalling previous versions (did not help) checked all tasks were closed (did not help) and checked the registry and the keys that needed to be removed were already gone. now i'm stuck with no GeForce Experience and I can't install it either. Any Help?

If I do that is my graphics card going to stop working? in other words am I going to have to hook my monitor up via the output off the motherboard so that I can reinstall the drivers? I'm asking because i use a TV for my monitor and don't have a screen that I can hook the old VGA cable up to. so if I lose my picture after I uninstall the Nvidia drivers I won't be able to see anything to reinstall. leaving me in a bad spot

No you can still use the video card without nvidia drivers. Windows has basic VGA drivers that will give you an image. It just won't have any of the accelerations that make the video card useful. In other words, its only good for installing windows and running in safe mode, not gaming.

The other option is to download the drivers from nvidia website and choose customize and clean install. However most likely whatever is giving you an error right now probably won't go away and the install will fail. My guess its a registery error and only a real clean install will fix it. Or you could just stay on the current version forever lol.
