Microphone headset in a noisy environment

Hi all,

In my work I often have to attend conference calls. Usually in our offices or at a customer site. It can get quite noisy once colleagues passionately discuss Brexit, last quarter, why the Surface is overpriced or whatever.

In your boundless experience, which headset would work best for such a setting? I need to be able to hear what is being said and not have the other attendees hear Paul's spirited, foul mouthed retort.

Obviously price would also be a major factor.

Thank you in advance

New headsets are not the solution.

In a professional office environment there should be some inherent noise discipline for the most part.

Overall, I tend to associate loud noises, voices, commotion etc. during telephone/conference calls with scam sites and telemarketing.

Not a good "image" for customers or co-workers in other locations to hear all that.

Probably time to speak with your manager and have an office meeting about the matter.

Then, set aside a conference room or office for when things need to be really quiet.
