Unidentified network [No valid IP]

hey,

it all started after i downloaded Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware,
i needed to clean my pc. after the scan i restarted my pc.
and after that the Ethernet have a yellow triangle.
i uninstalled Malwarebytes and tried few commands on the CMD
like ipconfig/release, netsh commands etc

also for some reason Ipconfig/renew freezing and after a while its just say a time out.

Please give me some advises that i can use because i already tried everything on youtube and nothing solved this issue.

Ethernet card: Make and model/new or used?

Is the Ethernet card in a PCIe slot or some USB to Ethernet adapter?

Make sure that it is fully in place.

And also that only one Ethernet adapter is enabled; e.g., disable the motherboard's network adapter.

Then use "WIN" + "I" > Update & security > Troubleshoot > Network Adapter

Then do the same but select Internet Connections.

Failing the above. Try another Ethernet adapter.

did the scan reveal anything that needed to be fixed? possible that your version of malwarebytes was not the real thing and you instead installed a dodgfy virus? run AV
try super anti spyware, that should remove anything malwarebytes didnt detect.

try re-installing network driver? system restore to a point previous to your malwarebytes install?

Thanks for the answer. ill try to install the super anti spyware. and i already re-installed the network driver, and did system restore. nothing helped

If by "clean my pc" you mean that you opened it up to blow out dirt, dust, etc. you may have bumped the network adapter or loosened the Ethernet cable connection.

I will add the suggestion that you run "ipconfig /all" and take a close look at the network adapter being used and how it is configured.

i downloaded the Anti virus to clean a weird file that i couldn't find alone. WDF Sound. something like that, it just slowed my pc down. the anti virus cleaned it. and i didn't cleaned the PC Physically

Per "ipconfig /all" Windows is assigning itself an IP address (169.254.192.244, subnet 255.255.0.0) that is used when an IP address is not being received from a router.

Three things to do:

1) Try another known working Ethernet cable.

2) Check your Ethernet adapter settings to ensure that the IPv4 box is checked.

Then verify that the IPv4 settings are correctly set for your router/network.

I.e., Default Gateway, DHCP Server....etc.

3) If you do not have IPv6 service, uncheck IPv6.

1. tried a different cable, same issue

2. the ipv4 set to automatic, i think i should try to change it to static. just not sure how to do it really.
and the box is checked

3. unchecked.

May need to back up some....

Who manages your network's router? Do you know the router make and model?

Is your pc connected via Ethernet cable directly to the router or through some wall jack or powerline adapter?

Do not recommend a static IP as you may inadvertently cause a duplicate IP situation.

Instead go to the following website:

http://windowsreport.com/ethernet-valid-ip-configuration-windows-10/

Use the link and the solutions therein as a guide to look at and verify your network adapter's configuration. Feel free to look for other links as well. No harm in watching and learning.

No need to immediately make any changes or download anything. And completely ignore the registry changes that are mentioned.

Once you feel a bit more comfortable about accessing the network adapter's configuration windows give it all another go.

Per SoggyTissues' suggestion uninstall the network adapter's drivers. Download the current driver via Realtek's website, and again reinstall.

Even though you have gone through that already there may have been some error of omission or commission or other factor that got in the way.

HOT is the company of my router. [local company here.] also the router is theirs. actually i think ill call them. maybe its problem with the router.

the pc is connected directly to the router.

ill take some time to check out the link you gave me.

ill look at the link you gave me later today and.
also i just reinstalled the drivers and still Unidentified Network.

maybe it will you help. yesterday i tried to put static ip with a friend who helped me with that.
somehow the Unidentified Network Changed to my regular connection name. and it had a internet connection for a second. so i tried few commands and putting the DNS only on static connection i had internet back for few hours,

but just don't remember exactly how i managed to get it back.

So i talked with the ISP company. they suggested me to check if the router is working with another pc. it works good on my laptop.

so it might be a problem with the 10$ Ethernet card i bought. what do you think should i do? if its not the case. maybe installing windows would solve it?

i have this Ethernet card like half a year and its first time something like that happened,
i disabled the motherboard network adapter already when i got the Ethernet card [the lan port came defective from the start].

Anyway i already got the Ethernet card out of the case. i have warranty for it so ill just let the store check it out.

thanks for your help and time. i would pick it as a solution after ill solve it and most likely i will if ill get a new Ethernet card from the store.
