Hi

Not sure if I've posted to the correct topic - sorry if not! I'm going to build a new rig from the ground up besides from my old HHDs which contain all of my installed games and apps. I'll also be transferring my OS to a new larger SSD.

Is there a way I can transfer the OS straight over to the new SSD and still be able to use the apps without having to reinstall anything?

Thanks,

Luke

Copy your "common" folder from steam installation directory to somewhere safe. Then, install the OS. On the new OS, after you install steam, just import your games from the safe location. If you want your games in your original location, then you will have to copy the games from safe location to the old location and import games in steam. This always works... :)

Thanks for your reply. Is it possible to get the games installed on the other drives to play without a reinstall?

Thanks

Luke

Mainly referring to Steam so that's reassuring! Thanks!
