Simple. Will this am3+ processor fit on my am3 board?

So I have a
ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO motherboard witch has a am3 socket.
I just found a PERFECT upgrade for my gpu and cpu. It's a FX-6300 witch is a am3+ socket type. It whould save me MUCH time and money if someone knows will it fit. I will pray to god that tomorrow, I will get my wanted answer.

Nope, while AM3 processors can socket into AM3+ it does not work the other way around.
Additionally, dont buy that processor, there are much better budget options.

Unfortunately this board will not support FX-xxxx series cpus. Here is the list:

Additionally, dont buy that processor, there are much better budget options.

Ok. So if you have some better options that support am3 I will be more than glad to hear it.
I'm just looking for a gaming pc that can play some newer games like watchdogs 2,pubg ect...
My budget is around 200-250 dollars. Please help me out here bro

For $250, get this, much better than anything you can get to work on that MB. Sell your MB if you can.
