Before the release of the massdrop vast I was pretty set on the Samsung chg70. However after the release of that I am now deciding between that and the more expensive chg70. What would you recommend for casual gaming on a r9 390 with an emphasis on immersion and beauty of the screen. I do intend to upgrade my graphics card soon to better suit higher resolutions

Solution
The 3440x1440 resolution of the 35" at massdrop is beyond what your current card can do at what I would consider decent graphics settings. I am also not a fan of the chg70 because it has blurry text. My concern with the ultra-wides is that I find them too short. Meaning their vertical height is not good enough. I suggest you go look at one of the 34-35" monitors in the store. There is no practical difference between 34/35 as an inch diagonal on such a big scale translates in to a very small % in height.
Also I know many have been happy with generics when it comes to screens, but I am fussy about image and text quality. Ultimately in order to get the text quality I wanted, I went with a Philips 32" It is only 60hz. I may upgrade...

I started with the assumption that I wanted an ultrawide.
