Will these parts work together?

- G.Skill Ripjaws V 16GB (2x 8GB) DDR4 3000MHz Memory (Brand new)
- Intel Core i7 7700K Quad Core LGA 1151 4.2 GHz Unlocked CPU Processor (Brand new)
- ASUS Z170-K LGA 1151 Motherboard (2 years old)

Technically the parts would work together, but there's a good chance the CPU won't work with the motherboard straight away unless the motherboard BIOS has been upgraded to the latest version.

If you are upgrading from Skylake to Kaby Lake, then you should update the BIOS first to ensure compatibility.

That's true, but the OP didn't choose a Coffee Lake processor...
