Hey guys!

So I'm in grade 8 and there's been a lot of assessment and homework, but I cant do it all because my parents disable my internet at 7 pm every day. Is there a way to bypass this? Someone told me to change my Network address (Mac Address I think?) it worked for a while but my Dad found out. When I change my Network address I cant connect back to the internet. Is there any way to get around this? Thanks!

I have already discussed with my parents that I need internet for my studies and for talking to my friends, but they don't seem to understand. Thank you guys for reading.

If it is setup correctly you can not bypass it. Sounds like your dad did his research turned on the features that prevent you from using simple tricks.

If you were older and had your own source of money you could of course buy your own internet connection.

Most time the " I need it for homework" is a lie. A coworkers child said this all the time and he loaded a logging software on the device so he could in effect play back all the activity. Very strange thing happened, the need for internet access all night went away.

If you really need to use it for school you could offer to use the computer in a place where other people could see the screen and see what you are actually doing.

Seriously? Sorry, but we can't help you. This is a matter between you and your parents. You asking this question validates their concerns.

I would suggest a mature conversation with them, with demonstrated progress regarding their concerns shown by you, is the only viable way to resolve this matter.
