B350M Pro4 and corsair 8gb 2666 problems

I recently bough a b350m pro4 along with a ryzen 1500x and 1 stick of 8gb 2666 RAM model: CMK8GX4M1A2666C16.I activated the XMP profile in bios to get the RAM to 2666 but cpu z only shows 1333Mhz..am i doing something wrong?Also i put the stick in the A2 slot (manual says that slot has the highest mhz support.

The DDR aspect of "DDR4/DDR3" etc is "double data rate".

So what you're seeing needs to be doubled to understand the accurate speeds (as declared by RAM vendors)
1333x2 = 2666MHz.

Sorry to nit pick, as perhaps you could use another cup of coffee as I am getting for myself, but I can't help scratching my head at the peculiar math here. :) Might confuse somebody down the road that doesn't catch the typo.
