I have moved my gaming pc next to my router so I can now have a wired connection. I already have a 2-3m cat6 cable. Will a cat7 ethernet cable make a difference to my download and upload speeds? I want to be able to stream 4k YouTube videos without buffer. Also have a good ping on video games.

No it won't.

A Cat5e will do exactly what you need, out to 100 meters.
And your Cat6 is probably a Cat6a.

Cat7 won't necessarily help with your internet speeds, unless you're getting wicked fast (like fiber optic fast) internet from your ISP. Then, MAYBE, it will help with that. Cat5e should be good enough, Cat6 and Cat6a should be better, especially if it's S/FTP and not UTP.

But, then again, I'm wiring my house with Cat7a. Why? Because reasons. ...and I don't want to have to re-run cable in the next 30-60 years. Although, knowing me, I'll re-run everything with fiber optic once it becomes a thing for in-home wiring.
