Fan Stop On GPU

I just got a new PC last week and it's my first build however I'm having problems with performance. I notice that my GPU fans are not turning on and I can't understand why. There is an LED that says "Fan Stop" that is always lit up. The fans don't even turn on while playing games. I can't even run CSGO without my frames spiking up and down. Please help, any information is helpful.

your gpu is getting hot as the fans are not working as expected, so the result is performance issues with your video (frames). return the video card as it is under warranty.

So are you saying that the card itself is faulty?

You can try just disabling fan stop altogether. Download the Auros Graphics Engine utility from Gigabyte, should be an option in there to turn it off. http://www.gigabyte.us/Graphics-Card/GV-N108TAORUS-11GD#support-dl

You could also try reverting all settings to default in afterburner and then reinstalling your graphics card drivers. Bit of a shot in the dark though.

yes, the video card is faulty.

you can do another test to make sure it is the video card: if your cpu has an integrated video, take your video card off and play the game again, trying to notice the same inconsistent frame rate you noticed with the video card.

About 10 minutes after turning the fans on through the program you gave it automatically turned fan stop back on.

I know my power supply is quite low quality being only bronze, is there a possibility that it could be causing it to not work? The computer was working fine for the first week of having it. This problem occurred overnight.

You may have to leave the utility running in the background at all times to keep the fan stop disabled.

Your PSU isn't great, but I can't see how it could cause your GPU fans to stop working. The fact that you are able to get them running with that utility makes it sound like it's a software problem.

How hot was your card getting when you were trying to play games with the fans not running?
