Hi, I just bought a B350 PC MATE motherboard but I am having one issue. I got a PCI-E cable with my GPU but I need a PCI-E 1X to plug it into my motherboard. Does anyone know anything I can buy to solve this issue?

Solution
You do not need any "PCIE 1x cable" to plug your GPU (MSI GTX 1060 Armor 6G OC) into the motherboard (MSI B350 PC Mate).

The GPU itself has a PCIe x16 bus/interface and is just plugged directly into your motherboard's PCIe x16 slot (the second slot from the top, after the small PCIe x1 slot, labelled #9 in the photo below):

The GPU then has an 8-pin socket on its side and will require an 8-pin (or 6+2pin) PCIE power cable from your PSU to power it.

The 8-pin socket on the GPU looks like this...
"I got a PCI-E cable with my GPU but I need a PCI-E 1X to plug it into my motherboard."

Just to clear some things.

1) What "PCI-E cable" are you referring to: a PCI-E riser cable (data) or a PCI-e power cable (usually comes with the PSU) or a PCI-e power cable adapter (usually comes with the GPU)?

2) What is your "GPU" (brand and model)?

3) What "PCI-E 1X" are you referring to? Do you mean you need a PCI-E x1 riser cable to plug in your motherboard? Or, do you mean you need a PCI-E x1 slot?

Note that the B350 PC Mate motherboard has two PCIe2.0 x1 slots, and two PCIe x16 slots (one running in full PCIe3.0 x16 and one running in PCIe2.0 x4). Note also that if your GPU is only PCIe x1, you can still plug it in the PCIe3.0 x16 slot (it is compatible).

1) The PCIE cable that comes with the GPU.

2)MSI ARMOR OC EDITION GTX 1060 6gb

3)PCIE 1x cable to plug my gpu into the motherboard.

Thanks for helping

I have the same motherboard with 2 MSI 1060's on it. Can you guys post a link from amazon on which PCIE risers will be the best fit for those GPU's to go onto a mining rack.
