Hi im in the process of picking out parts to build my own gaming computer, ive done a decent ammount of researching but i know that theres a ton im still unfamiliar with. The price for this pc is around 1400-1500, id like to keep the cost around this price point. Let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions or input, Thankyou for any help.

Cpu: intel i7 8700k coffee lake
Cpu cooler: corsair h60
Motherboard: asus z370-h
Memory: corsair vengance 2x8 ddr4-3000
Storage: seagate barracuda 3tb 3.5” 7200rpm
Video card: zotac gefore gtx 1070 amp extreme
Case: corsair 200r
Power supply: evga 650w supernova 80+
Case fans: 2 corsair 120mm fans
 
Solution
From reviews the i7-8700k is only about 1~3fps faster in games. You would be better off putting the extra in a 1080. Here is a build with a 6 core i5-8600k.

Here is also how the 2 perform in games. Notice the i5 actual is a bit faster. Game threading isn't that good beyond 4 cores. As you can see the 8700k stock is the same in both as its the same hardware.
