Ok, so I got everything hooked into my motherboard and correctly plugged into from the PSU. When powering up there is no display and my MoBo constantly does 1 long-2 short beeps. On the MoBo, during the power up the Red CPU light will flash very briefly and then the yellow DRAM LED will stay on. I've hit the OK MEM button, it will restart, and then continue to beep with the yellow light flashing now and eventually will restart to the point where it stays on again.
I've tried booting with 1 stick of RAM in each of my 4 slots. I've tried reseating my GPU, even booting without the GPU. I know the GPU works as it was taken out of my current desktop that works. I even booted the old desktop up with the GPU in it just to confirm it works. I've swapped out my PSU for another PSU that i know works. I bought new RAM to replace my current. I've reseated the RAM several times. Taken out the CMOS battery.
I was working with an ASUS h270 at first and i was having this exact same issue. Thought maybe it was the board and returned it and got the ASUS Z270-a. I've checked every wire over a dozen times.
I checked my RAM and bought it from ASUS' QVL.
I currently have my MoBO sitting outside the case with only the RAM,CPU and power hooked up and still the yellow DRAM light comes on.
I've checked the CPU and there's no bent prongs or anything.
My specs are :
I5-7600k
EVGA Supernova 650w
Corsair Vengence LPX 16GB (CMK16GX4M2A2400C16)
GTX 970
In a DIYPC Skyline06 case.
