I recently purchased a RM850x and installed it. When I went to power on the GPU (rx580) was on max and there was no monitor display. Everything was hooked in correctly, because after I replaced the rx580 with my gtx 650 and everything booted up fine. I used the 8 pin and 6 pin for the rx 580 and just the 6 for the gtx 650 same cable.
Before I installed the PSU I had a gtx 650 in. I had previously ran the rx580 in the system before and it ran no problems. Just wanted to upgrade the power source well it didn’t take.
The previous PSU was a 620 Corsair.

FX-8350 Black edition
MSI 970 Gaming
Cooler Master Cooling
32 (4x8) GB G skills ram
1 TB 960 Pro ssd
2 500 gb HDD
RX 580 Aurous Gigabyte 8GB
RM850x PSU
(GTX 650 Previous)
