Hello people. Few days ago I bought 5 new Be Quiet Pure Wings 2 case fans. My motherboard (Z87-G43) supports 3 fans and other 2 are connected to case's fan controller. After I installed them I noticed that one of them is spinning faster than others. Sys fan 1 and 2 are spinning at around 850-900 rpm and sys fan 3 is around 1500 rpm. Thank you for any information.

Did you buy the PWM version of the fan? PWM allows it to be controlled by the motherboard. If you didn't buy the PWM version, it will continually run at that speed and there is nothing you can do about it.

If you have the PWM version check your BIOS to see if it's running at full speed. Your motherboard should have a tab for fan controls.

3-pin fans should still be able to be controlled by voltage, though, right? Isn't that also done through the motherboard in pretty much the same way?

Yes, but you would need to set the fan control to DC for that header in the bios. If it was set to PWM and isn't a PWM fan it will run full speed.
