Hello all,

I am wanting to perform a clean windows install, however, I cannot get into the BIOS in order to change the boot order to boot from the DVD drive.

When I hit F2 on boot, it quickly flashes up to say that it is entering setup, but then goes to a black screen and just hangs there. If I hit F12 on boot, it goes into the BIOS Revision A11. If I then select BIOS Setup from here, the same thing happens and it goes to black and hangs up.

Does anyone have any suggestions to get around this issue?

Thanks!

Ah, so I have managed to make things worse. I read many people suggesting resetting the CMOS by unplugging it. I did this, plugged it back in and I still am unable to to enter the BIOS. However, now my laptop blue screens and resets at the splash screen. So I have essentially bricked my laptop.

The first time after unplugging CMOS battery I got a warning that the time and date were wrong and needed to be set.... I assume in the BIOS.

I am pretty desperate for any help on this issue!
