Can I unplug from the PSU, motherboard, etc. for cable management, and plug them all back in when I'n done?

So my computer interior isn't so tidy... I wanted to know if I'd be alright if I were to unplug the SATA cables, cables from my modular Power supply, cables from my motherboard, etc. so that I could route them from behind. *Obviously while the computer is turned off*

That is how it is usually done.
One caveat: The 24 pin main power lead can be difficult to extract from the motherboard.
Take care when doing so.
