Costco has a Lenovo Ideacenter Y700 for $1000 and a Dell XPS tower for $1100

Which of them is better for Data Science use?
Which is better for Gaming?
The Lenovo Y700 has 6GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 Graphics while the Dell XPS tower has the 8GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 where the Dell is clearly the winner.
But, the Lenovo Y700 has a better CPU with the Intel i7-7700 at 3.6GHz while the Dell XPS tower has Itenl i7-6700K at 4.0GHz
In terms of storage the Lenovo has 1TB 7200 RPM SATA Hard Drive + 256 GB Solid State Drive. While the Dell has 2TB 7200 RPM SATA Hybrid Drive.
Which one should I buy?

Thats very helpful! Also, one more question: how come the 6700K is faster that the 7700? I thought the later numbers like 7700 (vs 6700) would be faster/better?

The 7700K is the one faster than 6700K .. not the 7700 . The 7700 is lower clock than the 6700K . and the 6700K can be overclocked as well. the "K" CPU are unlocked and come with highest Clock .
