I'm getting these parts for christmas: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/KeenanGreen/saved/RzyjXL to upgrade my pc, i know they're all compatible but I don't know how to install the cooler and assuming i'm going to have to do something to my bios (if not that'll be great but please tell if I do) I'm getting the b250m pro vd and have no clue about bios and cannot find any videos of people installing the pure rock slim on that motherboard so if you can explain in thorough detail or find a video that'll tell me how if you can you'd be saving me around £50 so I don't have to take it to the shop :)

The cooler should not be difficult to install. Looking at the manual, you screw the brackets to the cooler then apply thermal paste (if not already on the cooler) and then push the pins on the bracket into the motherboard and twist them to lock. Attach the fan using the clip and then plug the fan into the motherboard. Should be a 4-pin header that says "CPU FAN 1" or something similar.

As for BIOS updates, what do you need to update the BIOS for? Generally this is not needed.

Here's the manual.

honestly the instructions that come with it are rly good an its super easy to install, id never installed 1 till other day an i installed it fine an im crap when it comes to pc builds, just make sure you get some thermal paste, as the stuff that comes with is crap

the cooler is in three parts. the intel clips with pins (2x). the cooler it self with 4 screws to hold it to the intel clips. and the fan and fan clip. your going to take 4 small screws and lock the intel clips to the heat sink. then you peel off the covering of the thermal paste on the heat sink. flip it over and lock in down onto the intel cpu chip that locked into the mb. when locking the clips dont do both on same side do them across the cpu chip so it locks in right. if the cooler is locked down right all 4 plastic legs should be sticking out the same on the back of the mb.
