A few months ago, I fried my CPU with a bad OC. About two months ago, I bought a brand new i7-7700k. It worked perfectly for about two weeks when it suddenly started acting up. Whenever I try to play a game, I either get a hard crash or a bluescreen (the ones that have been mentioned above and UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP, SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION and KMODE_EXCEPTION_UNHANDLED). My previous CPU was an i7-6700k. I decided to buy a 7700k because it was slightly cheaper and my BIOS was already fully updated. The bluescreen first appeared while I was playing GTA V. I didn't think much of it and started my PC again. The next day, it crashed twice, and it just got worse and worse. Now all games either hard crash (they take a few minutes) or bluescreen.
I have tried everything to fix my PC, I:
Changed my RAM (Kingston HyperX 2133 MHz to Corsair Vengeance LPX 2400 MHz)
Changed my motherboard (Asus Z170-A to Asus Z270-F)
Removed my GPU
Switched CPU cooler
Removed Wireless Adapter
Clean install of Windows (it sometimes bluescreens while installing too)
Installed new drivers.
Alternated between my two HDDs while installing Windows
Ran SFC /scannow
Ran chkdsk
Still same problems.
I sent the PC to a repair store and the guy told me that the CPU isn't compatible because it's "too powerful" and that the new motherboard wasn't compatible with the RAM...even though both modules were DDR4 AND I was getting the same errors.
Any help?
