i5 4670k overclock is changing ram speeds

Hey guys, I'm overclocking my i5 4670k to 4.0 GHz.

Is it normal that my Memory's NB Frequency goes from 798.1 MHz with stock settings to a NB Frequency value of 3391.9 MHz as soon as I set CPU Multiplier to 40x? Seems odd to me.

select the profile in BIOS to XMP
i have oc my same CPU to 4.2

Just had a look at that in the bios - all it seems to do is change the voltage of the memory? The multiplier for the memory stays on auto.

Yeah, just checked - with XMP on the NB frequency is still 3391.9
