I've tried looking up custom gaming pc's under 300 (price of the PS4) and all the ones I've watched were wrong about their pricing. Can anyone lay out a full pc.

Solution
you CAN get something that will play games for that price.

Do you have any parts already like monitor and such? You won't get much gaming computer for less than $300. A good gaming CPU alone would be close to $200 and a capable GPU would be at least somewhat $250. On top of that you will need to add Motherboard, DDR4 RAM, PSU, Case, Storage and maybe monitor and peripherals.
You need to remember that a computer needs a lot higher specs to perform equal to a console, as console games are very optimized for the specific hardware in the console.

Under 300 you ain't getting something that has ps4 performance new. You can go used and get something better but thats hard for us to help with. My advice is either save up (500 is the sweetspot), go used or get a ps4.
