Problem with internet speed, coming from router

Hello, im having a problem with internet speed, that comes from router. My speed is 70-80mbps, and if i LAN from modem to pc, i am getting that speed, but whenever i switch to the WiFi, speed get reduced twice. Modem - centurylink
Router - ASUS AC1900

One other thing, is that the modem, has integrated wifi, and if i do switch to that one, speed us still reduced.

Looks like the wifi marketing guys conned you into believing you can get 300mbits from your adapter. That number only works in a very non standard configured lab condition. They are doing stuff like adding transmit and receive speeds, its like calling a 1gbit ethernet cable 2gbit...but the ethernet can actually do that.

It is not uncommon to only get 30-50mbit on a device that is claiming 300. To get number closer to 100mbit you would need to use 802.11ac based devices

WIFI is dependent on 5 things: Router, client WIFI HW, distance, congestion, WIFI Band. You identified your router (AC68U) but what is your laptop/PC hardware? Are you on 2.4 or 5Ghz WIFI? How far away? Are you in a congested WIFI environment?

How is performance from smartphones/tablets?

Im on 5hz, tryed 2.5 - same thing. Pc has wifi card adapter, capable of up to 300mbps. Pc is right next to router. There is no diference betwen other pcs i have in house, but i havent checked on smartphones
