Running out of Memory while playing in 4k

I'm running into an error message, when running games in 4k.

After playing the game for a couple of minutes it will crash and say windows is out of memory; anybody else run into this and know how to fix it? I had this problem a while back when I had 8gb of ram but I thought It had to do with the amount of ram.

I'm running Widows 10 Pro, 16gb of ram, 2x GTX 1080's.

It happens while playing Deus EX MD and Watchdogs 2

Check if windows recognizes your 16gb, did you buy another 8gb stick or it is 2x8 from the same pack? Also make sure most ram usage is caused by game, not virus/malware stuff.

It detects the 16gb, I bought a new 8x8 set of the same ram. Ill have to check on the Ram use, but when the PC is Idle its using very little ram so I'm sure it's not a virus.

with 2 1080 for 4k, it might be using a lot of system ram for vram caching

Did you disable the virtual memory page file in Windows?

I have multiple HDD's and the SSD that has my steam games was set to none on the paging file size, the only drive that was system managed was my C: drive which has no games, so I set all my drives to system managed.

I think that was the reason since I played Deus Ex last night with no crashing.

Yes exactly that is the reason. This is a common issue. Windows should never run into this error with page files on.
