Can the stock cooler fit on this motherboard?

It is actually the opposite of what Gam3r01 said.
A motherboard which could not accommodate the stock cooler would sell exactly 1 copy (which would likely be returned).
So it is not Intel changing their cooler to fit on every board, but the fact that every MB company knowing they have to accommodate the stock cooler.

TL:DR
You'll be fine with the stock cooler on that board.
