I want to install a 4G system in my house. I have a location for the antennal which will be several meters from the best position of the router so I want to buy separate modem and router. Can anybody advise where I can buy a separate 4G modem. All my searches end with combined units.

most Modems are routers as well .. they have at least one LAN port. dont worry about it, get a cheap router with 4G to function a Modem with 4 LANS and then connect it to the other "expensive" Router using the WAN port.

Thanks for the replies. I want the modem to be as close as possible to the antenna and intend placing it in a waterproof enclosure outside the house. This will minimise losses in a marginal situation. I will then use Cat6 cable from the modem to the router. It seems logical to me that I have separate modem and router rather than a combined solution which would have to be duplicated. I did this years ago with an ADSL modem and separate router and it worked very well until fried by a lightning strike!!
