i have a ssd but its only 120gb so im using that for my boot , but im looking to get a new hard drive for games and stuff and i was think should i get 2 1tb hard drives in raid 0 or just get the 2tb? would the performance gain be worth it?
Converting from a machine who's current SATA setup in the BIOS is AHCI and changing it to RAID can also be a HUGE pain in regards to getting your current Windows boot drive to work. To me, probably not worth the trouble. Get a nice high performance 2TB 7200RPM disk.
The single most largest drive you can afford would be a good route to take. The downside to RAID 0 is that you will need identical drives should one out of the two decide to go bye-bye. Furthermore if and when your RAID array breaks down, you loose all data as opposed to a RAID 1 setup.
