Hello guys,
I'm trying to upgrade a old laptop that I received the other day, but I have a lot of problems with the ram.
The laptop, is a Toshiba satellite c645, with the number part PSC02U-00LLM1, and serial code: XB072495Q

it comes with a i3-370m
2gb ram ddr3 @1066 mhz
This is the tech report that I take with hwinfo64:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5iWEjFUQFVFTFZsOWhIVnE0UUE/view?usp=sharing
I want to install to it 4gb more,, (6gb total) supposedly the MoBo supports up to 8Gb.
I buy this ram, one kingston of 4gb, KCP3L16SS8/4
https://www.kingston.com/us/memory/search?partId=KCP3L16SS8%2F4

but, when I put it on the laptop, in the boot, the pc says "Your pc have a problem, and It needs restart. Next of that, the laptop restart itself, and enter on a infinity loop.
I've tried put only the 4gb ram, the 4 gb and the 2 gb, but nothing. only works when the ram of 2gb is alone.

And, only for see if the ram isn't damaged, I put it on the my alienware, and it works fine. The hwinfo64 reports, says that it supports 1.35v and 1.5v, so, I don't know what is the problem.

The MoBo of the Toshiba doesn't supports rams of 1600 MHZ? And the MoBo can't downclock it automatically? Or that ram is a High density ram and the laptop doesn't support it?

I need a guide. If i have to change the ram, witch rams of 4gb are compatible with the Toshiba?
Thanks guys and sorry for the long text.

@Kasper Jorgensen
But whi? For example crusial suggest me buy a ddr3l of 1600 MHZ. Which is the technical difference with the kingston?
In the case of kingston page, they suggest me only ddr3 (and not ddr3l) memories.
But thanks. I'll try to find one of these rams in a local store.

Well, thanks. but exist a reason for that? why the laptops are picky with the rams? For example with two similar rams? ... I have to tri change the ram for other and see if is compatible or not. well. Thanks for all.
