Hi,
I plan on buying a lot of PC games, many old and some new, in Halloween 2017. But, I waded through various websites listing the top 100 pc games of all time etc. etc., and was mostly unimpressed. There are far too many PC games out there, most are ones I would hate, and I am afraid of buying PC games that are shit, and have no time try out any demos.What I would like now is for me to list the few PC games I have played in the past and ones I intend to soon play anyway, and for people then to recommend other ones similiar to them.
OK, first of all, here are my pet-hates so that the list can be narrowed down:-
1) Anything with zombies in it, I consider really lame! Also the total war series is ghastly. I also hate any online PC games with monthly subscriptions or some other similiar catch.
2) FPS/First-Person-Shooters. For me to play them, I would require a very good backstory/plot indeed(the Halo series???) and reasonably good graphics as well.
PC Games I loved to play:- planescape torment, baldur's gate trilogy, elite, x2, fritz14 chess, europa universalis-2/3-for the glory /hearts of iron2/3-arsenal of democracy/homeworld trilogy/icewind dale trilogy/neverwinter nights/age of empires 1,2,3(not forgotten empires expansion as I found it unplayable/starfleet command 3/crusader kings 1/
PC games I am intending to play soon:- dragon age trilogy/many star wars pc games such as battlefront 2/kotor 1 and 2/judge dredd/rogue trooper/knightrider 2/grand theft auto series/silent hunter 3,4 and 5/enigma-rising tide/shells of fury/aces of the deep/victoria 2/crusader kings 2/klingon academy/romulan dawn/
Any suggestions based on the above would be most helpful, thank you!
Oh, I have a few other requests:-
1) The best post-apocalytic-scenario-based PC game.
2) Best PC game, not an online PC game, which focuses, elite-style, on owning a spaceship and trading/indulging in piracy etc.
3) If there is an RTS galactic-empire-styled game that is way better than sfc3, I'd be happy to hear about it.
4) I REALLY enjoy pc games which have an excellent sf background to them. For example, does anyone know of any recent PC games of high quality which are derived from the 2000AD comics-universe, or from the Dune series of novels, or perhaps even from the Babylon 5 Tv series? Thanks in advance!
