Today, I plugged my PC in, it has 5 years and some months. My Asus M5A99FX 2.0 turned on a red light in the CPU. Everything works except it.doesnt even go to BIOS and doesnt react to the Screen. I opened it, cleaned it, but in the cleaning process I let the CPU fall and some pins got all messy (sorry for my english). I put them all fine again with the help of a needle and cleaned it with a very soft tooth cleaner and alcohol. Then I put it in the motherboard and put thermal paste but still doesnt work. Since today it also never beeped or anything... Which means that what happened was overnight with the PC off. Im having a really shitty day because of also some personal problems aside of what happened to the PC, Its one of those days I wish that I havent woke up to avoid all this. I am not sure what to do to the PC anymore and I cant afford to go to any store to test the hardware and in the end having to pay that service and new hardware. Anyone can help me please? It would be very much appreciated!!!!

If there's no beep and nothing happens the CPU is most probably dead unfortunately.

Just to add for future reference, ordinary alcohol not the best idea (if that's what you used) for cleaning as it may contain impurities and water and basically be conductive.

For cleaning thermal paste and such better choice is 99% isopropyl alcohol.
