So i bought a new motherboard, ram and cpu a few weeks ago. But now after an CSGO game yesterday the CPU is almost running a stable 100*C. It is down to 75* for some periods of time. But it is avarage 86*C when being used.

CPU is an i5-7500, and i have checked temprature with two programs wich gave the same resualts.
I have no idea what to do, as i have an very limited budget and cant afford any new colling strategies.

1| Please list your full system's specs like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:

2| You may also want to include the number and orientation of the fans in your chassis.

3| You also should include the apps you've used. Are the temps consistent in BIOS? Speaking of temps, what are your ambient temps?

These are the specs i know 100%.
CPU: Intel i5-7500 CPU @ 3.40GHz
CPU Cooling: Standard Intel Fan
Motherboard: ASUS Prime Z270-P
RAM: 8GB DDR4
Storage: 2x 500gb ssd’s
GPU: GeForce GTX 960

I cant answer the rest of the specs because i dont know.

Number 2: How do i check this? I know i need to open the pc and look but how do i know the number and oritation.

Number 3: if i remember correctly, i checked first with CPU Thermometer and then CPUTemp or something like that.

One at a time loosen and refit the pushpins for the heat sink.

Thank you! Turna out that the CPU fan was never completley locked in posistion, so the thermalpasta never touched the cpu. The CPU has now been at an stable 35-40° for 12 hours
