I think I have a virus on my computer!

I honestly don't know what to do. I'm not that computer savvy. For the past couple of months there's has been like these things that pop up on my computer, and sometimes when I am playing on my computer it will randomly go back to the main screen, and stuff that I think a virus would do. For the past few weeks my computer has had these green and red dots that will sporadically move and when I don't move my mouse sometimes the dots won't move. I don't know what to do or what's wrong with my computer but I need help!

Might I ask what games you've taxed on your system to see the issue explained above? What sort of pop ups are we looking at? You could try, download and use Malwarbytes to rid your system of any infection but it'd be a good idea to invest in an antivirus.

It'd also help if we learned of your full system's specs since it could also be possible you're experiencing GPU artifacting or lack of power to the GPU.

I just play the Sims 4 here and there. The things that pop up are things that tell me to download stuff on my computer. My brother gave me the computer but I reset it and he did buy it while he was serving in Turkey and my boyfriend goes to this website to watch anime sometime. That's why I kind of think it's a virus, but I honestly don't know if viruses can make your computer have sporadic dots. I mean I have a toshiba satellite s55t-c5164-4k.
