Help! The latest Adobe LR & PS updates did not agree with my computer. I thought it may be an overclocking issue and I made the mistake of reverting to the default mode on my Asus X99 Deluxe II motherboard. That move wiped out my RAID 0 configuration where I had 4-1TB Samsung solid state drives. Now the beast tells me I need to reformat the drives to get them back to RAID 0. I have almost a month of data I don’t want to lose. Is there a way to restore the RAID 0 without reformatting? The OS and programs were on an Intel 750 SSD. And, Yes, I will backup more often ;-)

Lesson learned the hard way. RAID 0 arrays loose all data on the drives and they will need to be recreated after a format. The worst aspect of RAID 0's is that the drives need to be identical in make and model and if one goes bad, you're running around in circles again.

You could try and use TestDisk but that is not a guarantee for data recovery.

You shouldn't be on RAID 0 if you have sensitive data rather you should be on RAID 1.

Best practice is to not reformat or change the RAID member drives in any way.

The path to recovery is to reassemble the RAID0 using the original drive order and chunk aka stripe size. There is software that can help with this... R-Studio / UFSexplorer / DMDE.

This should be a fairly easy recovery but if you get stuck or need help shoot me a PM I an happy to assist remotely.
