why running below expectation? and wrong clock?

why when I run the yserbenchmark app on my pc it says

G.SKILL F4 DDR4 3000 C15 2x4GB
120 User benchmarks - Average bench 83%
2 of 4 slots used
8GB DIMM DDR4 2133 MHz clocked @ 1067 MHz

Performing way below expectations (18th percentile)

why it shows 2133mhz when its 3000mhz, and why is it running so poorly?

I'd first check your UEFI to make sure your XMP profile is enabled. The 2133 MHz is the standard non-overclocked spec that you get out of the box. You need to apply the XMP (i.e. overclock) to get the 3000 MHz.

It doesn't hurt to enable the XMP profile, and you might as well because that's what the RAM has been tested for.

It's not hard to enable. Reboot your computer and enter the UEFI/BIOS and look for the XMP Profile settings. Select "enable" and reboot. Now you're good to go - easy.

Of course, if you're BIOS doesn't support it, then you're out of luck. =(

Just to add...

2133 MHz isn't a bad speed at all. 3000 MHz is kind of overkill IMO, so I wouldn't let it bother you too much if you can't enable the XMP profile. These companies just like to post big numbers on their merchandise for marketing reasons. I personally run 16GB of 1866MHz DDR3 sticks and I have no problems.

As for why you're not the top bench, that's probably just variation between chips. You're not always going to have the best binned parts that give you a 100th percentile run. 83rd percentile just means that there were 17 others out of 100 who scored better than you. Not bad at all.

^ This is correct. Your RAM is running at the default DDR4 speed of 2133. ( CPU-Z and other programs will read that as 1066-1067. DDR = double data rate so you double that number to get the effective speed ).

You will need to enable XMP or manually set your RAM in BIOS.

Complete system specs?

^ And this is incorrect. 2133 is the default DDR4 speed. If you have DDR4 3000 it will most likely run at those speeds if you have a compatible motherboard. 3000 is not 'overkill' when you have a CPU and motherboard designed to take advantage of those speeds. You can't compare it to a system designed for DDR3.

It's benching low because it's incorrectly configured.

Ryzen makes it a bit hit or miss since it's a relatively new architecture. It's going to depend on the actual memory kit as to what speed it will run at. 3000 won't happen due to the way Ryzen works but 2933 might be possible.

I need a model number for the RAM.

As I said Ryzen is a new architecture. As such older memory and memory developed for Intel's XMP may not work correctly or at the rated speeds because it's rated for those speeds on Intel platforms. You need higher end RAM to run at higher speeds on Ryzen or some of the newer RAM with specific profiles for Ryzen.

If you give me a model number or want to check yourself you can cross reference with this list.

Based on the DRAM modules the RAM is made with you can get an idea of what speeds it will run at.

Clear CMOS. Either with the jumper ( motherboard manual will tell you how ) or by removing the battery on the board for a minute or 2.

RAM isn't on the list. The closest I see makes me think it's Samsung E-die which means 2400 might be the max on your system

You bought Intel spec memory for an AMD system. A little research before buying would have told you of Ryzen's RAM compatibility issues.

Do you have the latest BIOS?
