Dear Community, Straight to point I have an 8 gb 1866 mhz adata ddr3 ram which i have plugged in also i have a kingston 1333 mhz 4 gb ram, so should I install both of them in my mobo or should i only run 1866 mhz ram with 8 gb mem. or should i get 1333 mhz on both ram sticks and get 12 gb of memory please help.

Technically speaking you should buy a 16GB kit(2x8).

Mixing and matching RAM modules isn't recommended. That's when the specs. are identical. Mixing and matching specs. is not supposed to be done in any circumstance.

I would just install the 1866MHz RAM modules. Your next step, if you need more RAM should be an identical module or a new RAM kit(preferred).

Actually I dont want to spend much money on them because i will be getting a newer pc next year so just for the time being i want to just enjoy the current game and want to know which will be better 12 gb 1333 mhz or 8 gb 1866

Well i want to play PUBG mostly because CSGO is outdated and dont want PUBG to lag so i just need to ensure 12 gb with lower speed or 8 gb with high speed

8GB 1866MHz all by its lonesome.

4770? Pretty good rig And you're getting a new PC? I would just replace your GFX card with a 1080, maybe from MSI https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GXOWUDQ. I'd also invest in a 500GB SSD.

With 16GB RAM, a new GFX card and a new SSD(OS on the SSD and the rest on HDD) I believe you will notice a SIGNIFICANT and definite huge performance boost.
