I have been looking everywhere and I haven't found a solution. My SSD is full with files like Program Files and Program Files x86 and I wantt to move tthese to my HDD but errors always pop up. My HDD has a lot of space but I can't transfer SSD to it. Any advice?

Solution

Do NOT move your Program Files folders.
Those are not the problem. Even if they were, massive problems would ensue.

Steam games.
Move some or all to a different drive:
Steam games location
In the steam client:
Steam
Settings
Downloads
Steam Library Folders
Add library folder
q24sFfe.png

To move an already installed game
Games library
Right click the game
Properties
Local Files
Move Install Folder

For other things like...

Program Files and Program Files x86 are Windows OS based files. That particular set of files is hard wired to be with the Windows drive, and even if you do move them, you will have significant complications since it's in a place Windows doesn't expect it to be.

Save yourself the trouble and try to find some other files to move. Specifically nothing involved with Windows. Games, pictures, and downloads are all safe to move.

go to %temp% and delete all your temp files there.
go to %windir%\temp and delete all your temp files there.
If you have a swap file, disable the swap file on your SSD (use on the the HDD instead)
You can relocate your user folders. Here is a tutorial:

You can relocate steam games you are not currently playing. Move them back when you want to play them.
To move installed applications, you will need to uninstall them and then re-install them to the new location. Any other method to move them is "renting problems" you don't need.
