So I bought this laptop last month. It has 1 TB seagate HDD which is probably making the noise(creaking sound all the time). I've tried checking for errors using the seagate (SeaTools for windows) but it couldn't find any errors. It seems like this model hasthe same problem for many people, as I have come across similar issue on the lenovo community forum, though they have not been able to find a solution.
My HDD model is - st1000lm035-1rk172.
Please suggest some solution.

Solution
Its clearly normal (for a Seagate) harddrive noise that is not well insulated and the solution is to live with it or replace the drive. Some users posted much quieter systems shen switched to WesternDigital drives but if you change to an SSD it will be much much more quiet as well as faster.

Good Luck
