Psu suddenly started to make a strange buzzing noise

My old psu(cooler master thunder 450w) recently blew a cap so I bought a new power supply. Its the corsair cx650m. I installed it yesterday and today just a bit ago it started making a strange buzzing sound, like the fan was hitting something but more electrical. I am really worried.

Before my old psu blew a cap It also had a similar sound but much louder. I am really worried about this and its stressing me out.

My pc specs are
r5 1600
gtx 960 2gb oc
8gb ddr4 ram.

Possibly coil whine or dodgy fan bearing of the PSU.
Take side of case off and put your ear close and try to pinpoint noise. Unfortunately i htink you got a bummer of a PSU again. If so, take it back.
Check out the stickied PSU thread in the PSU forum for recommended PSUs

The old Corsair CX series PSUs were definitely not suited to running a system with graphics. It used to be a 4th tier unit. Some say it has improved but I still wouldn't use it with a graphics system. Exchange it for a higher quality unit. If possible.

You endanger everything else in the system when you buy a cheap PSU because one of the reasons they are cheap is that they don't have internal protection circuitry to shut itself down when something goes out of spec.

I am putting my ear close to the psu and the sound is definately coming from there. the side case is always off while pc is running so I can keep it cool.

What do you mean by bummer of a Psu? In the LTT forums the cx650m is not considered a bad psu its tier 3.

I cant buy any of the tier one stuff since they are way to expensive also a lot of the good stuff from seasonic and evga are not available in my country so could not buy them. also the stuff that are available in my country and are in my budget dont have a warrenty in my country.

ah ok I will see what I can do. My last psu the one that blew a cap was 2 years old and only 1 month of those 2 years do i actually know that there was a sound from the psu. thx for the replies will see if I can return it and get a replacement.
