I was playing Shadow of War when my PC suddenly died. No shutdown or errors, just went off. Tried to turn it back on and just got the slightest flash from the lights and a jolt of movement from the fans, but then nothing.

I first thought power supply, so I just bought a new one and replaced it, but still just a jolt from the fans and lights then nothing. Subsequent tries to turn it on don't even give that jolt.

Any other ideas?

Neither reseating the RAM nor replacing the CMOS battery has worked.

Old PSU is a XFX XPS-550W-SEW, new is an EVGA 600W 80 plus certified PSU.

I'm thinking the motherboard needs replaced, but before I waste any more money buying replacements for parts that aren't actually dead, I'm just going to take it to a repair place.

Replacing the motherboard is a lot of work with my setup, so I want to make sure that's what isn't working.

I already tested the surge protector so that isn't it either.
