Looking for any advice on building a new computer i'd like to go towards Intel either the i7 or the i5 if i can utilize anything from my previous build i can add those extra $$ towards an upgrade.
so my previous build is:
CPU: AMD A10-6800K 4.1GHz Quad-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper TX3 54.8 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler
Motherboard: Asus A88XM-A Micro ATX FM2+ Motherboard
Memory: PNY XLR8 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card: ASUS GeForce GTX960 2GB
Case: Raidmax ATX-321WB (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit)
Power Supply: OCZ-ZT 550W
I do light video/editing work and gaming (PUBG/ARK/LOL) and some others but i've been noticing pretty bad fps drops when playing PUBG even on lower setting.
so any advice on a build utilizing the i5 or i7 would be awesome. im still new to building i tried to look into alot of different builds but get lost when putting one together at PC part picker. i'd like to keep the budget around 1k to 1.5k.
