How to connect Wireless 4G LTE TP-link router to Dual WAN TP-link router?

Hello Guys,

Can someone give me advice on how to set up my dual WAN TP Link TL-ER6120 to work with a DSL MODEM and Wireless N 4G LTE Router TL-MR6400 both have different ISP? I purchased the 4G Router because my Wired Modem is unreliable.

The following is my current setup:
ISP 1: DSL Modem connect to Dual WAN TP-Link ER6120
ISP 2: 4G LTE Router TL-MR6400 connect to Dual WAN TP-Link ER6120
TP-Link TL-ER6120 Router -> TP-Link Switch
TP-Link Switch -> Multiple PC's
TP Link TL-ER6120 Router connected to DSL MODEM

I fail to connect 4G LTE Router to my dual-wan router because it seems the 4G LTE router doesn't support a bridge mode. I need to set this up in order to use the capability of my dual-wan router such as firewall protection and load balance between 2 internet sources.

It should be as simple hook each of your ISP modem/router to a wan port on your dual wan router.

You should not have to put the lte router in bridge mode. It likely makes no difference anyway since it is highly likely there ISP is running carrier nat so you can not eliminate the nat issue. It should run fine in router mode as long as you make sure the ip addresses used do not conflict with the range of ip addresses you use on your internal lan.

Load balancing is going to be quite a challenge to get to work well. The devices work best as primary/backup. The only load balancing that tends to work ok is doing stuff like "internal machine 1 always uses ISP1" "internal machine 2 always uses ISP2". Any other form of load balancing needs to be able to solve the problem of the ip address being different. The common example people on this forum have seen is a game company. There maybe a login server and a actual game server. How is the load balancer going to know to use the same ISP connection to talk to both these servers.

Thank you for your reply sir. I guess working load balancing is going to be difficult.
What if I connect the LTE router in one of our switch? The purpose of LTE router is just backup incase the DSL fail.
I plan to disable the DHCP of LTE router , the main router provides all IP Addresses using DHCP reservation. When DSL Modem fail, i will change DHCP's default gateway to LTE router IP address.
In client side in order to get changes in default gateway , user's will run a batch file with 'IPCONFIG/release' and 'IPCONFIG/renew'.
This works in client with administrator account but to those PC with standard accounts the batch file is asking for the administrator password. Is there any ways to run the batch file without admin password? or any idea to work with this set-up?

If you have the dual link router I would just use it. It does the primary/backup function very well.
