My pc is getting old and i need to upgrade, but in order to upgrade i need to buy a new cpu, mother board, and ram. Can some one give me a list of compatible parts under 300$ that is able to run arma 3 good. My cpu is an i7 920 2.67ghz, my mother boards brand is Super Micro and it takes ddr3 ram. My gpu is a gtx 760. I dont know what brend my psu is but it has all the right connectors for mother boards and gpu's, it also has three sets of sata connectors for ssd's and hdd's, From what i remember my psu is within the 450-500 watt range

Solution
without knowing the PSU and other sort of detailed spec, my best bet for upgraded gaming experience would be the 1050ti [as it is power efficient, so i won't be concerned about the wattage, in case the PSU quality is low or something]
however, i won't call this an upgrade in the first place, as the performance difference is pretty miniscule

but judging on how much the GTX 760 consumes, your PSU should handle up to GTX 1070 just fine... the problem though lies on your CPU, as it will bottleneck the GTX 1070 imho.... especially on CPU intensive titles....

u're better off on saving some money, sell the old rig later on and then build a whole new one....

if ur PSU doesn't have all the right connector for your PC parts, ur PC won't run...

Solution
$300 is kinda low for full system upgrade.
You can upgrade your graphics card to GTX 1060 and probably ram to 16GB (if you have less).

And get model name of your PSU (or post photo of PSU label).

should last longer thanks to the hyperthreading [it's a 4core/8thread CPU] and it's OCable, in case u don't have aftermarket cooler, the stock cooler that comes with it are good enough for normal usage / some light OC
if u could spend another 50-60$, the Ryzen 5 1600 is available, offering 2 extra core, 4 extra thread, and also a better stock cooler :)
as for the RAM, if u want the 1x8 so that in the future u can get up to 32, then:
