Why do you think Gigabyte is better than Zotac?

Talking about the GT 1030, i don't really see any difference between Gigabyte and Zotac except that Gigabyte has Higher boost clocks of 1468 and 1506 MHz vs Default 1240 MHz on the Zotac, which does not really make a difference for this low end product yet most people with go with Gigabyte? Is this all because of hype?

Past history and reputation. Gigabyte and Asus have proven themselves to be reliable brands and a safe recommendation. Zotac hasn't quite got the same reputation for quality and reliability - which is not to say it's any worse, just that they haven't earned the same level of respect among enthusiasts yet.

I've had Graphics cards from many different brands in the past. When budget was my first consideration I'd buy the cheapest version of a particular GPU I could find and it generally worked out ok, I've never had a graphics card fail on me in the warranty period regardless of brand and in fact the only cards that have died on me have been more than 3 years old.

That said I tend to stick to Asus and Gigabyte these days because they are...

The guts of a GT1030 come from the same place, namely nvidia.

Factory overclocks, fancy coolers and customer support may be different.
I have no first hand experience with either.
Perhaps looking at the amazon reviews of verified buyers might give you some insight.
In particular, look at the low rated reviews to see what they did not like.
Some may not be applicable.
